Keyword Search Report

What events are people searching for once they’re on your event calendar site? Now you’ll know! Creating a Keyword Search Report from your event search widget is now possible.

Thanks to Google analytics, we’ve known what words people search to find your event calendar. We even know what words they use once they’re searching on your page. But now we’ve taken that one step further. By capturing all the keyword searches made on your event site, we now are able to tell you what state each search originated from, and soon, we’ll be able to tell you what city they’re searching from. This new layer of insight will open up a whole new level of informed marketing strategy decisions.

How to access the Keyword Search Report

Step 1: Go to Term Reports in your admin dashboard.

Step 2: If you would like, choose the date range you wish to filter for.

Step 3: Click the ‘Export CSV’ blue button in the top right hand corner of the screen to save your report for your records.

How to access the Google Analytics Search Terms Stats

Step 1: Log into your Google Dashboard from https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/.

Step 2: From your Google Dashboard, go to Behavior > Site Search > Search Terms from the left sidebar.

The Google Analytics search term report includes searches made in all active modules (events, organizations, venues, etc.), though it is limited in that it does not track geographic location of each search.
