WordPress Upgrade

Upgrading WordPress core to version “5.5.1” has been completed.

Lodging Availability

Integrated Lodging availability calendar functionality in Business module; integrates with VRBO and AirBNB .ics calendar file types. 7-day outlook on listing pages, 2 month view on detail pages.

Sister Site Plugin

Fixed Duplicate event creation bug where certain events were being copied over to the sister site multiple times.

Public Art Pagination

Fixed issue where public art listings exceeding 8 pages were not displaying additional pages.

Classifieds Listings

Fixed style issue where longer classified titles were overlapping the ‘date posted’ text.

Artist Directory

Removed size constraint on the primary artist image. The image was constrained to 300×300 (masked if taller than 300px). Full height of the image now displays.

Mobile Booking

Optimized the website’s favicon and site name display when users either bookmark, ‘save to reading list’, or ‘save to home screen’ on their iPhone, iPad, Android, or other mobile devices.

Artsopolis Calendar Plugin

Fixed issue with some category types not displaying due to conversion of html “&” to natural text “&”; updated code to adhere to latest version of PHP.

Cultural Asset Map

Modified the colors of the various markers to make them easier to read and adhere to ADA compliance.
Added module name label above each each section of the text list that appears below the map.
Added function to keep the map zoomed in when switching between the various cluster and detail views.
Added dynamic filtering where the items listed below the map respond to where the map is zoomed. For example, if the map is at full expansion and displays 100 items, but then is zoomed into an area with just 5 items, the text list below will respond and only display those 5 items.
Added a “Reset” button to the right of the “Heat View” button.

Spam Filtering

The “WP-SpamShield” plugin has been replaced with “WP Zero Spam” plugin to provide blocking of spam posts (spam comments, fake ratings). WP-SpamShield is no longer supported by its author and the code became deprecated and not compatible with the latest versions of WordPress, PHP, and our themes. WP Zero Spam is working very well.

CSV EXPORT ENHANCEMENTS: We’ve released several improvements to our admin panel’s “CSV Export” tool. Previously, the event exporting filters were limited to just date range and only included events by ‘active’ date. A number of additional filters have now been introduced including:
- Publish status (published, pending, draft)
- Date type (active date or post date)
- Primary category type and secondary/sub-category types
- Organization (exports a list of events associated with a registered org)
- Venue (exports a list of events associated with a registered venue)
- City & Zip
AGENCY TOOL: Suppress the Agency tab on the FE user dashboard if the user has no Agency associated with them.
NEW FEATURE! EVENTS ‘REVIEW EDITS’ NOTIFICATION: We’ve introduced a new section within the pending/published events list area called “Review Edit”. The ability to review edited events is especially important for those who syndicate their event content to other partner websites and therefore, need to ensure clean and consistent formatting. A few important notes about this feature:
- Events that appear in the Review Edit section are still available online and do NOT need to be re-published.
- To remove an event from the Review Edit list simply click the blue “Reviewed” button from within the event’s admin form. The button appears on the right near the “Copy Event” and “Publish/Update” buttons.
- The Review Edit function only provides a general notification of events that have been edited. It does not indicate exactly what content within each listing was edited.
NEW FEATURE! EVENTS SECTION COUNTS: In addition to the pending records counts on the left column of the control panel we’ve also introduced a count for each section within the pending/published events admin list area. Each count appears within a bracket ( ) like the following example:
