The Sponsor Logo tool allows front end users to upload sponsor logos to their event detail pages. This tool is available on your site, but it has to be ‘turned on’ to be functional.
Turning on (or off) the Sponsor Logo Tool
Site admins can turn on the tool by logging in to their administrator dashboard, and finding ‘Appearance > Theme Options’ in their left hand column.
Once in Theme Options, choose the ‘Site Config’ tab, and then ‘Event’.
Don’t be overwhelmed! There’s a lot of information on this page, but you’re looking for a specific section. Scroll down to the ‘FE Event Form’ area. At the bottom of this section you will see a collection of fields that control the Sponsor Logo tool:
In this section you can:
- Customize the title text for the Sponsor Logo section on your front end Event Submission Form
- Turn the tool on and off. If the tool is turned off, the Sponsor Logo section will not show up on your front end Event Submission Form or on event detail pages.
- You can control the maximum height or width of all displayed logos on the event detail pages. We recommend you only enter the height OR the width, but not both at once.
PLEASE NOTE: Restricting both height and width will cause some logos to become distorted.
- Whatever instructions are placed in the Sponsor Field Instructions box will show up under the section title on the front end submission form.
Scroll to the top or bottom of the page and click ‘Save Options’ to save your settings changes.
Now, let’s take a look at the tool from the front end, on the Event Submission Form.
The URL field allows site users to add a URL for their uploaded logo to link to on the event detail page. All logos will display in the order they are uploaded. This section disappears if the tool is ‘turned off’ on the admin side.
